Event | Business and Social Justice
I was delighted to be invited back to address another cohort of the GIFT (Global Institute for Tomorrow) Global Leaders Programme on the topic of “Business and Social Justice”. Our interactive discussion focused on the topic of understanding the human rights impacts of business operations, leadership styles, and the importance of values and ethics in achieving social justice.
The Global Leaders Programme is an innovative 2 week executive education programme that introduces participants to new ways of thinking about business models that address critical socio-economic development issues beyond simplistic notions of CSR or philanthropy.
The experiential component of the Programme recently concluded in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where the group worked in partnership with SOMA Group, a founding partner of Grow Asia (a WEF and ASEAN Secretariat initiative) in Cambodia, on the topic of improving rice production and farmer livelihoods throughout the country.
