Launch of Our NHS “Inclusive Training within Practice”

The highlight from last month was my visit to Bristol to attend the launch of a ground-breaking initiative led by UWE Bristol for NHS England. This inclusive training resource takes a ‘whole organisation’ approach to culture and behaviour change within healthcare practice placements.  Read the Press Release

Its goal? To enhance the experiences of international and minority ethnic learners.

In my role as a learning resource developer, I led efforts on positive action, creating best-practice guidelines and resources that delve into the ethical and legal nuances of positive action initiatives, ensuring they align with the Equality Act 2010. This launch represents the outcome of a 15-month journey of learning, reflection, and co-production with dedicated staff, learners, fellow developers Toyin Agbetu, Paula Cummins, Rohit Sagoo QN, Elli Bliss, and learning designer James B., led and project managed by the wonderfully able and dedicated Noor Nixon from the College of Health, Science and Society (CHSS) at UWE Bristol.

Farzana Aslam

Farzana Aslam is the founder of Kintillo, a leadership, workplace culture and career transition consultancy working with organisations and professionals across the legal and professional services sectors. Farzana brings more than two decades of international legal, academic and organisational experience to her work. Her background includes practice as an employment law barrister at 3 Hare Court in London, in-house employment counsel at Goldman Sachs in Asia-Pacific and Japan, and Principal Lecturer at the The University of Hong Kong, where she taught Professional Ethics, Civil Litigation, Employment Law and Business and Human Rights.
